The Rockii Peony is one variety of tree peony that can withstand winter temperatures to -40°C. Protection is recommended for the first winter but not required after one year of growth. Some rockii peonies have been growing in Saskatchewan since 2008 and even started to bloom in 2009. They can grow from 30 to 60 inches high and the flowers are slightly larger than the average tree peonies flower.
